You can start earning before you connect Stripe, but you’ll need to finish setup before you can withdraw. This page covers connecting Stripe, managing your payout details, and what each status on your Payments page means.

Connecting Stripe to get paid

You can earn before you connect Stripe, but you can’t withdraw until you finish setup. It’s a one-time process that usually takes under 5 minutes.

Open the Payments page

Until payouts are connected, your earnings card reads “Payouts · not connected” with a Set up payouts headline. Any earnings you’ve already made show as “Waiting to pay out · Released once Stripe is connected.”

Connect Stripe

Press Connect Stripe. This opens Stripe’s secure onboarding, where you complete identity verification (KYC) and add a bank account or debit card.

Return to NewWave

When you come back, your available balance, total earned, anything available soon, and the Withdraw option appear: usually within a few minutes.

Manage payouts anytime

A Manage payouts link reopens your Stripe account so you can update bank or card details later. Your Payments page also shows a day-grouped activity feed of everything that’s happened.
Picked the wrong country, or not sure which to pick? Message support rather than working around it. Your payout country decides the currency you’re paid in on the card rail. If you’re outside the US, you can also skip that rail entirely and set yourself up on Wise or PayPal under Manage payouts, which pays you in USD with no conversion. Withdrawals stay locked until Stripe setup is finished. Earnings accrue in the meantime and are released once Stripe is connected: nothing is lost while you wait.

Frequently asked questions

Withdrawals stay locked until you finish Stripe Connect on the Payments page. Earnings can accrue in the meantime and are released once Stripe is connected.
That’s a normal holding period. The money is yours and becomes available to withdraw once it clears, usually in a few days.
