Do this once, in Meta. Skip any step you’ve already done. Meta renames its menus often, so each step links to Meta’s own guide.

What you need at the end

  • A business portfolio in Meta Business Suite
  • A Facebook Page for your brand, in that portfolio
  • Your brand’s Instagram account, linked to that Page
  • An ad account with a payment method
  • Admin access to the Page and the ad account, for the Facebook login you’ll connect with

Steps

1

Create a business portfolio

Go to business.facebook.com and log in with your Facebook account. Open the menu under Home and choose Create a business portfolio. Use your brand’s public name. Meta emails you to confirm the business email.Meta’s guide: Create a business portfolio
2

Create or add your brand's Facebook Page

Every Meta ad runs from a Facebook Page, even an ad shown only on Instagram. If you don’t have one, create it at facebook.com/pages/create. Then add it to your portfolio in Settings → Accounts → Pages → Add.Meta’s guide: Add a Facebook Page to your business portfolio
3

Link your brand's Instagram to the Page

Open the Page and go to Settings → Linked accounts (or Manage → Linked accounts), then Connect Instagram and log in to your brand’s Instagram. It must be a professional (business or creator) account; Instagram offers to switch it if it isn’t.Meta’s guides: Connect Instagram to your Page · Connect Instagram in Business Suite
4

Create an ad account

In your portfolio’s Settings → Accounts → Ad accounts, click Add → Create a new ad account. Pick your country, currency, and time zone carefully; Meta doesn’t let you change the currency later. Give yourself Full control when asked.
5

Add a payment method

In the new ad account’s Billing & payments (or Payment settings), click Add payment method and add a card, PayPal, or another option for your country. Only ad account admins can do this. Without a payment method, ads can’t be created.Meta’s guides: How to pay for Meta ads · Accepted payment options
Connect NewWave with the same Facebook login that has admin access to the Page and the ad account. If your team uses more than one Facebook login, check which one owns these before you connect.
